Service Opportunities at Northwestern
PLU encourages service in general, not just through the specific service opportunities provided through PLU. Service through organizations outside PLU, such as those listed below, also count towards service hours on travel grant applications.

Science with Seniors
Senior citizens comprise the most dedicated voting base, with over 90% of Americans aged 60+ registered to vote. Yet, scientific literacy among senior citizens is only around 20%. Science with Seniors aims to bridge the gap between science and senior citizens by giving presentations on policy-relevant science topics to seniors in various centers across Chicago.
